Louisa Area Students Educational Robotics (LASER) provides students with science, technology, engineering, arts, math (STEAM) skills for life through robotics so they will feel empowered to pursue technical degrees and vocations that are not widely represented in the rural areas we serve.
At LASER, we believe that “where you grow up” should not limit students’ ability to access high-tech, STEAM rich content - it should be affordable and accessible to students of all educational affiliations.
DREAM IT. BUILD IT. BATTLE IT.
In our 2026 Gladiator Bots summer camp students designed their own robots from scratch to battle the monster bots, battle each other, and play mini-games in our Arena of Mayhem. Relive the hype and all the robot glory with our recap video above.
IMPOSSIBLE? Never heard of it.
Our competitive robotics teams learn advanced control strategies to adaptively correct their heading of their robot during autonomous navigation.

Our Core Values
We teach students how to think, and guide them through the engineering process to help bring their ideas to life.
We help students learn how to collaborate with people that may think differently than they do in order to accomplish more together.
The path to success is not a straight line. We teach students to never give up even when things don’t work as expected.
